Sept. 7, 1968 — March 15, 2019

Rebecca “Becky” Marie McCallister, 50, of Milton, West Virginia, formerly of Ironton, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019, at UK Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky, surrounded by her family.

Becky was born Sept. 7, 1968, in Lawrence County, a daughter to Charlotte (Easterling) Bailey and the late Ernest Bailey, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Michael McCallister, whom she married May 26, 2014.

Becky was a 1986 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a school teacher for Lighthouse Baptist Church. Becky enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren, and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Bailey.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jenna (Jeff Cross) Counts, of Hurricane; two sons, Andrew Bailey, of Ironton; and Robert Counts, of Hurricane; three grandchildren, Madelyn Cross, Paisley Counts and Zachary Cross; a brother, James Phillip Bailey, of Ironton; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be noon, Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. 7th St., Ironton. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery and visitation for friends and family will be 11 a.m. Wednesday until time of the service.

Oliver Nicholas

Oliver Kessler Nicholas, 83, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Saturday at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, West Virginia. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington, West Virginia. Proctorville VFW Post #6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
