“We are looking at another season of growth and excitement at our market,” said Ironton aLive executive director Sam Heighton. “The first market day will be Friday May 3 and continuing every Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. or until vendors sell out.”

The market continues through the summer and fall until the end of October.

Heighton said all vendors are invited to help plan the upcoming season.

“Present vendors, and those who want information concerning becoming a vendor, are encouraged to attend,” he said.

If you are a present vendor and cannot attend, call the market manager at 740-533-7951.

The market’s vendors are from Lawrence County and surrounding counties and they offer a variety of goods from seasonal produce, baked goods, honey, eggs, home made candy, home made crafts, and flowers.

Heighton said that the market is always adding new vendors and that each year, the market sees an increase in the number of customers.

The market also has special events such as the popular draw that Ironton In Bloom had free food on the second Saturday of every month at the market and the annual Heritage Festival which features local artisans and a car show.
