PORTSMOUTH — The Ironton Fighting Tigers got a double debut win.
The Fighting Tigers’ tennis team won their season debut 5-0 over the Portsmouth Trojans on Tuesday.
And in the process, Ironton gave Kevin McCown his first win in his head coaching debut.
Ironton’s top three singles players — Aiden White, Todd Davidson and Ethan Bennett — all picked up wins as did the No. 1 doubles team of Lexi Arnett and Malea Delawder and the No. 2 team of Jordyn Koerper and Elizabeth Gillespie.
The Fighting Tigers visits Gallipolis on Friday and host Wheelersburg at 4:30 p.m. next Wednesday.
