Rowe, Hanshaw spark Redwomen win

AID — The Rock Hill Redwomen were a big hit.
The Redwomen banged out 12 hits en route to a 13-0 five-inning win over the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings on Tuesday.
Rock Hill was led by Haleigh Rowe who went 3-3 with a double and Kenzie Hanshaw who was 3-3 with a double and her third home run of the season.
Baylie Harrah was 2-3 with a double for the Redwomen (6-0).
Kylee Howard got the win as she pitched a five-hitter. She did not strike out a batter but she didn’t walk anyone.
“They hit the ball really well. They found the holes. I have to tip my hat to them,” said Lady Vikings’ Jeff “Odie” Estep. “We hit the ball all over the field but they played good defense.”
Rachael Hayes, Sarah Kingery, Ericca Ross, Emily Estep and Kelsie Gothard all went 1-2 for Symmes Valley (5-3).
Rock Hill took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Rileigh Morris, Grace Stevens and Howard all walked. Hanshaw singled in a run, Rowe doubled in two more and a wild pitch scored the fourth run.
The lead went to 9-0 in the second.
Stevens doubled with two outs, Howard was safe on an error and Hanshaw hit a three-run homer. Rowe singled, Harrah doubled in a run and Adams was safe on an error for a run.
The Redwomen capped the scoring with four runs in the fourth.
Hanshaw walked, Rowe and Harrah singled, Adams was safe on an error, Sam Stamper hit into a fielder’s choice for an RBI and Morris got a two-run single. Adams scored the final run on a wild pitch.
