Barry Bridges
Dec. 14, 1981 — April 10, 2019
Barry Alan Bridges, II, 37, of Wheelersburg, passed away, Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in Letcher County, Kentucky.
Barry was born Dec. 14, 1981, in Ironton, a son to Kathi Pennington Bridges, of Hanging Rock, and the late Barry Bridges.
Barry was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a truck driver for Little’s Septic Service. Barry was the life of the party, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Barry was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Krisi Bridges; paternal grandparents, Buck and Nonnie Bridges; and maternal grandparents, Bob and Betty Pennington.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a fiancé, Jessica Ackison; three daughters, Savannah, Gretchen and Parker Bridges; three stepsons, Daelen Brooks, Jacob Robinson and Ethan Roth; a stepdaughter, Madison Roth; a brother, Nick (Emily) Bridges; two nieces, a nephew, several cousins and a host of family and friends who will miss him.
Funeral service will be noon Monday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton, with Pastor Scott Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, and visitation will be Monday, 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Robert Wood Jr.
May 11, 1936 — April 10, 2019
Robert Lloyd Wood Jr., 82, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at his residence.
The Princeton, West Virginia native was born May 11, 1936, husband of Carol McCarty Wood, and son of the late Robert Wood Sr. and Myrtle Rowland Wood.
Bob was a 1955 graduate of Coal Grove High School. He retired in 2001 as a boiler operator for Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. He also worked 21 years in the engine yard at the Semet Solvay plant in Ironton.
Bob loved fishing, farming and spending time outdoors. He cherished time with his family and took great pride in keeping his community clean.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Wood Pinkerman; and a grandson, Aaron Kelley.
He is survived by five sisters, Janet Sue (Frank) Jenkins, Judith (Merrill) Sanders, Abby (Clarence) Fowler all of Ironton, Candace (Orville) Picklesimer, of Wheelersburg, and Amy (Gerald) Ferguson, of Kitts Hill; three brothers, John (Judy) Wood, of Bristow, Virginia, Michael Wood, of Ironton, and David (Karen) Wood, of South Point; four daughters, Sherri (David) Kelley-Geswein, of Willow Wood, Becky (Jeff) Bowling and Mary Ellen Smith, both of Kitts Hill, and Andrea Wood, of Albany, California; a son-in-law, Andy (Shelley) Pinkerman, of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren, Seth, Lynzi, Sarah, Nathan, Elijah, Emily, Whitney and Tyler; as well as many beloved great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St, Ironton, with Pastor Lenny Campbell and Pastor Randy Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Joseph Dickess
Dec. 11, 1966 — April 11, 2019
Joseph William Dickess, 52, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.
He was born Dec. 11, 1966, in Ironton, son of the late Sam and Ruth Fyffe Dickess.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Sam Dickess, and his first wife, Christi Dickess.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Deborah Primm Dickess; his four-legged son, Little Sami Dickess; one sister, Judy Jenkins (John Holston), of Ironton; a brother-in-law, Larry (Janice) Boggs of Coal Grove; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; his “Dad,” David Roberts, of Ironton; and a host of special friends.
He was a 1985 graduate of Collins Career Center and attended 13th Street Freewill Baptist Church in Ashland, Kentucky.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Pastor Chuck Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Thomas J. Senella, 61, of South Point, died Monday, April 8, 2019.
A Memorial Service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, with Tom Hall officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home.
