SOUTH POINT — As a solo artist, Ringo Starr once sang the hit song called “The No No Song.”
Rock Hill Redwomen pitcher Kylie Howard was singing at the top of her lungs on Friday as she pitched a no-hitter to beat the South Point Lady Pointers 8-0 in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Howard struck out two and walked two over the seven innings.
“Kylie did a great job getting ahead in the count and she was on her game in the circle,” said Redwomen coach Brooke Long.
“The defense was as solid as we’ve been all season. We’re very proud of they played in the field.”
Rock Hill had 13 hits with Keilie Adams going 3-4 with a double and a run batted in and Baylie Harrah also going 3-4. Makenzie Hanshaw clubbed a home run.
