Hunt’s 1-hitter leads Fairland

PROCTORVILLE — Staying perfect.
The Fairland Dragons beat the Portsmouth Trojans 4-1 on Wednesday to remain unbeaten in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Fairland (10-3, 7-0) got the win as Gavin Hunt fashioned a masterful one-hitter. Hunt struck out four, walked four and the one run was earned.
Hunt threw just 80 pitches and 47 for strikes.
The only hit was a single by Daewin Spence who was the losing pitcher.
The Dragons had five hits with Alex Rogers going 2-3 with a run batted in. Brennan West was 1-3 with two RBI and Kyle Rankin 1-3 with an RBI. Dacoda Chapman was 1-3.
