The Lawrence County Horseman’s Association 4-H is hosting a horse clinic on May 11.

The event will take place at the Lawrence County Horse Association grounds, located at 475 Commerce Dr. in Ironton starting at 11 a.m. The location is across the street from the Ohio Department of Transportation garage.

“Any kid who has a horse can come, as well as those who don’t and just want to learn,” Betty Murray, the newly-elected president of LCHA, said. “We’ll have an approved 4-H judge there to do the clinic.”

Murray said there will be entry fees, ranging from $1.50 to $5, in each class, except for the 4-H and FFA classes, in which there is no charge.

Additional shows are scheduled for April 25, May 9 and 23, June 13 and 27, Aug. 8 and 22, and Sept. 12 and 26.
