PINE GROVE — And they’re off and swinging.
The Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club just completed the first three weeks of the new season.
Three weeks ago, hostess Pat Lambert announced the day’s events and Pat Riggs claimed two events with Joyce Lewis and Lambert each picking up a victory.
Riggs handled the hostess duties for week two and she must have selected the right events as she came away with a win but Lambert racked up three event wins.
Lewis was last week’s hostess and posted the day’s events.
When play was completed, the ladies headed for the clubhouse to eat lunch and Lewis announced Becky Dillow and Margaret Donley each got a win while Lewis took victories in two events.
During the month of May, the group will have a brief business meeting at 9 a.m. followed by golfing events at 9:30. The club meet’s each Tuesday.
New members are always welcomed and persons do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the Ladies Nine Hole League.
