Perry’s HR gives Lady Trojans 1-0 victory over Lady Pointers

PORTSMOUTH — South Point Lady Pointers’ pitcher Holly Ramey and Portsmouth Lady Trojans’ pitcher Kylee Montgomery kept matching each other almost batter for batter.
The only exception was a home run that gave Portsmouth a 1-0 Ohio Valley Conference win on Monday.
Ramey gave up six hits, struck out seven and walked one in six innings. Montgomery allowed only three hits, struck out seven and did not walk a batter over seven innings for the win.
Madison Perry took care of all the game’s scoring leading off the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run
Perry also had a double as she went 2-3. Cassie Potts also went 2-3 with a double for Portsmouth.
Kylee Ellison, Jill Aylsworth and Destinee Newton all singled for South Point’s hits.
