PEDRO — The Rock Hill Redmen don’t mind applying pressure.
The Redmen like running the bases and forcing errors. They forced seven errors on Tuesday as they beat the Symmes Valley Vikings 14-1 in five innings.
“We hit the ball well and we put pressure on them to make mistakes,” said Redmen coach Barry Litteral.
“We were patient at the plate and Isaiah (McFann) pitched well. He made them put the ball in play and used his defense.”
McFann got the win as he struck out four and walked two.
Rock Hill (16-5) took a 2-0 lead in the second.
Kaleb Kidd singled, courtesy runner Brayden Friend stole second, took third on a wild pitch and scored when Landon Smith grounded out.
