SOUTH POINT — The Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a man they say was intoxicated drove his truck into a South Point home.

Troopers were called to a home at 2800 County Road 1 around 11:09 p.m. on Friday night. They found a white pick up truck, driven by Christopher Heaberlin, 31, of Ironton had crashed into the side of the house. The front end of the vehicle put a hole into the wall and caused significant damage to the house. The truck also struck two vehicles parked outside the residence.

One of the residents was taken to a local hospital to be checked out, but they were later released from the hospital.
