The Lawrence County Engineer’s Office has announced that County Road 2/Greasy Ridge Road will be closed for landslide repair, from Monday, June 17 to Sunday, Aug. 4, at the 1-mile marker from the intersection of State Route 243.

The slip has caused concern for residents of the area for the past year.

The Lawrence County Commission voted in May to award a $190,168 bid to Skeens Excavating for the repair work.
