Child Welfare Club award recipients announced

The Child Welfare Club has announced the 2019 recipients of their annual Freshie and Sophomore Awards.

To qualify for the Freshie Award the students must have a 90 percent average or better in all academic subjects and/or 85 percent or better in all weighted academic classes at the end of the next to last grading period.

The following students met the requirements for the Freshie Award at St. Joseph High School: Benjamin Anderson, Samantha Anderson, Dru Canter, Drew Clark, Paul Delaney, Pola Delaney, Bailey Dickess, Kerrie Jenkins, Michael Malmeister, Nick Pauley, Elijah Rowe, Chloe Sheridan, Lydia Sheridan, Matthew Sheridan, Laiken Unger, Connor Waller, Bella Whaley, Hayden Wilcoxon and Noah Woods.

The following students met the requirements for the Freshie Award at Ironton High School: Kendrick Barron, Kameron Broning, Baylee Clark, Kayleigh Collins, Aimee Eastham, Kelie Howell, Alexis Lawson, Elizabeth McClung, Hunter McFann, Keegan Moore, Shaelyn Myers, Serenity Phillips, Jada Rogers, Reagan Roush, Arianna Schaus, Dylan Stephens, Abby Taylor, Lilyann Thomas, and Amelia Webster.

Sophomore Awards were given to all sophomores who attained an A average in all academic subjects at the end of the next to last grading period.

The following students met the requirements for the Sophomore Award at St. Joseph High School: Bryce Balestra, Emilee Blankenship, Jared Johnson, Joshua Kline, Jackson Rowe, Max Weber, and Emma Whaley.

The following students met the requirements for the Sophomore Award at Ironton High School: Carlie Beckett, Cameron Deere, and Mathew Sexton.

The students were honored during award assemblies at their respective schools.
