Ironton youth soccer
announces registrations
The Ironton Area Youth Soccer Association, Inc., registrations for the fall league will be at the Ironton Fire Department, S. 4th and Jefferson Streets, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, June 22 and 29, and 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27.
The late registration will be from 6-8:30 p.m. on Mondays, July 8 and 15, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, at the Fire Department.
Fee is $25 per youth and $20 for each additional family member. Any fees paid after June 30 incur an additional $10 fee per player.
Mailed-in forms must be postmarked by June 30 or the late fee will be assessed.
Forms can be mailed to: IAYSA Inc., P.O. Box 225, Ironton, OH 45638.
A required concussion information fact sheet will be available at registration and online. The acknowledgement form stating persons received the concussion information must be signed and returned.

For any questions or additional information, persons should attend one of the sign-up dates.
The league is for boys and girls ages 4-to-12 with birthdays between Aug. 1, 2007, to July 31, 2015.
Teams will be for under age 6 (co-ed), under 8 (co-ed) and under age 10 to 12 (co-ed).
NOTE: Youths must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.

SP youth basketball
camp set for July 8-10
The annual South Point youth basketball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 8-10 for any boy or girl entering grades 1-8.
Cost for each camper is $30 and each camper will receive a T-shirt and water.

Athlete reunion planned
July 20 at SPHS stadium
SOUTH POINT — Named “The Gathering,” a reunion of former South Point High School athletes and cheerleaders — along with their families — regardless of which sport are being invited by former South Point football and baseball coach Bob Lester.
The gathering starts at noon on Saturday, July 20, at the high school football field.
Concessions will be available at the field.
Lester is looking to get a “head count” on the number of people planning to attend. If interested, contact Lester at (740) 377-4836.

Circleville Dog Days
5K race set Aug. 3
The eighteenth annual Circleville Dog Days 5K road race, presented by Red Barn, will be held at 9 a.m. Sat., Aug. 3, beginning and ending at Circleville High School.
Awards will be given to the top three in each of 34 total age groups, plus awards to the top three overall male and female finishers. Numerous door prizes also will be awarded, water and splits will be available on the course, and refreshments will be available at the finish.
Visit www.tristateracer.com for entry forms and online registration, or you can register the day of the race from 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
There is a $15 preregistration fee ($20 on race day), and at least the first 150 registered will receive a free T-shirt.

The Cincinnati Reds’ ticket hours are: non-game days Monday-Friday 9-5 p.m. Saturday 10-4 p.m. (not open October-February); Game Days 9 a.m. until end of the 7th inning.

Gallipolis Kiwanis hosts
annual junior tournament
GALLIPOLIS — The Kiwanis Juniors at The Cliffside Golf Club will be hosting the 11th Annual Kiwanis Juniors for junior golfers on Thursday, July 18, starting at 10 a.m. with registration from 9:00–9:45 a.m.
This is an individual stroke play tournament open to young golfers from 10 or younger thru 18 years old competing in four divisions. The age groups are as follows:
Age 9-10 (will play 9 holes and tee off from 100, 150 and 200 yards out on par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s respectively).
Age 11-12 will also play 9 holes (from the red tees).
Ages 13-15 will play from the white tees. Ages 16-18 will play from the blue tees.
Girls will play from the red tees in the 13-15 and 16-18 divisions.
Entry fees are $20 for 9-12-year-old and $30 for 13-15-year-old. Clubhouse certificates and individual awards will be presented to the top three places in each division.
Cart/meal passes will be available for spectators for $15 so they may follow the tournament and eat with the kids.
