Bucs advance with 13-12 win

COLUMBUS — When a team is going into the playoffs, momentum is always good.
The River City Buccaneers have that momentum as they managed to end the regular season on a positive by edging the Columbus War Eagles 13-12 on Saturday at Gahanna Middle School.
The Buccaneers will now play in the PAFL postseason against the Ohio Crush in Dayton.
Chance Freeman and Dale Swords made big defensive plays as each had an key interception.
Job Swords was 6-of-11 passing for 195 yards with a touchdown and an interception to lead the offense. He also ran five times for 22 yards and a score.
Luke Brown carried 13 times for 43 yards. Fred Crozier added a yard on three attempts and L.J. Warfield added two yards on three tries.
Elijah Adams had just two receptions but racked up 100 yards. Jermaine Payton had two receptions for 55 yards and Crozier had two catches for 40 yards.
The Bucs hurt themselves with two lost fumbles and the interception.
