OVC volleyball preview
Aug. 16 at Ironton
The Ohio Valley Conference volleyball preview will be held Friday, Aug. 16, at Ironton High School.
Games begin at 5 p.m. Here is the schedule:
Fairland vs. Portsmouth; Chesapeake vs. South Point; Rock Hill vs. Gallipolis; Coal Grove vs. Ironton.
Admission is $5.

The Ohio Valley Conference football preview will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at Ironton High School.
Games begin at 5 p.m. and consist of two quarters. Here is the schedule:
Fairland vs. Portsmouth; Chesapeake vs. South Point; Rock Hill vs. Gallipolis; Coal Grove vs. Ironton.
Admission is $5.
Tiger Clan boosters to
meet at Tanks Stadium
The Ironton Tiger Clan athletic boosters’ club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, in Tanks Memorial Stadium.
Anyone interested in being a member of the Tiger Clan is invited to attend.

The Southern Ohio Conference volleyball preview will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at Portsmouth Clay High School.
Games begin at 10 a.m. Here is the schedule:
Clay vs. Minford; Western vs. South Webster; New Boston vs. Lucasville Valley; Symmes Valley vs. Northwest; Green vs. Waverly, Sciotoville East vs. Portsmouth West; St. Joseph vs. Wheelersburg A-team; Oak Hill vs. Wheelersburg B-team; Portsmouth Notre Dame vs. Beaver Eastern.
Admission is $5.
Ironton season football
tickets now on sale
Ironton Fighting Tigers’ 2019 season football tickets are now on sale.
Tickets for five homes games are $37 per ticket. Checks should be made payable to IHS Athletic Department.
PLEASE NOTE: Ticket orders MUST include a self-addressed stamped envelope — two to three stamps depending on the number of tickets ordered — and mailed to:

If a large amount of tickets is ordered, please apply extra postage. Please include a phone number with your order. Please do not drop off orders at the main office of the school or the auto shop garage, but instead contact the athletic department for any question or specific needs.
Tickets will be mailed out starting on Aug. 13. If fans do not receive their tickets by Aug. 20, contact Trevon Pendleton at (740) 532-5235 during school hours.
The home schedule includes: Aug. 30 Wheelersburg 7 p.m.; Sept. 6 Russell, Ky. 7:30; Sept. 13 Fairland 7:00; Oct. 11 Rock Hill 7:00; Nov. 1 Portsmouth 7:00.
Cincinnati Reds’ tickets
The Cincinnati Reds’ ticket hours are: non-game days Monday-Friday 9-5 p.m. Saturday 10-4 p.m. (not open October-February); Game Days 9 a.m. until end of the 7th inning.

Circleville Dog Days
5K race set Aug. 3
The 18th annual Circleville Dog Days 5K road race, presented by Red Barn, will be held at 9 a.m. Sat., Aug. 3, beginning and ending at Circleville High School.
Awards will be given to the top three in each of 34 total age groups, plus awards to the top three overall male and female finishers.
Numerous door prizes also will be awarded, water and splits will be available on the course, and refreshments will be available at the finish.
Visit www.tristateracer.com for entry forms and online registration, or you can register the day of the race from 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
There is a $15 preregistration fee ($20 on race day), and at least the first 150 registered will receive a free T-shirt.
