CHILLICOTHE — The Ohio Department of Transportation District 9’s Environmental Office is seeking public input about replacing a bridge on State Route 243 in Union Township.

The proposed project is to replace the structure at the 12.79-mile marker, between Township Road 354 (Bonnie Drive) and County Road 36 (McKinney Creek Road) in Union Township. Currently, a contract is anticipated to be awarded in the summer of 2020, and while State Route 243 traffic will be maintained in one lane during construction, McKinney Creek Road may be subject to closure for a specified number of days.

Additional information, including a complete description, maps and plans sheets, is available online at www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D09/Pages/Public-Involvement-Process.aspx. Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.
