Focus on young talent

You may have noticed a new weekly feature in Wednesday’s Tribune.
35 Under 35 will feature the next generation of leaders and movers and shakers in the Tri-State area, and we hope to regularly spotlight young talent and achievers here.
This is our second year offering this series, which was compiled as a one-time insert in the Tribune last fall.
This year, we aim to keep the spotlight going throughout the year.
Each week, we will profile a different individual, who is nominated by those around the community.
While we have several lined up for coming weeks, we are still looking for more people to feature.
If you know of someone under the age of 35 who is accomplishing things in their community, whether through business, charity, the arts, activism or any other meaningful way, let us hear from you.
Nominations can be sent to heath.harrison@irontontribune.com.
35 Under 35 joins our other standing features, many of which we added this year.
On Thursday, Up for Adoption features pets at the Lawrence County Animal Shelter in need of homes, while, on Friday, Educator Spotlight focuses on teachers and faculty at the Tri-State’s K-12 schools, universities and vocational schools. And, on weekends, Memory Lane takes a look back at our region’s past, through the Tribune’s archives and submitted photos.
We are looking to add more weekly features to the paper in coming months and, if you have an idea for one, be sure to let us know what you would like to see.
