PINE GROVE — Oil rigs are used for drilling purposes.
The Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association has its own Riggs who drills golf balls into holes on the course greens.
Pat Riggs found the pin plenty of times on Tuesday as she won two events during the group’s weekly golf outing.
Hostess Shirley Gleim conducted the brief business meeting and served breakfast treats before announcing the day’s events.
Upon completion of the day’s play, members met for lunch and Gleim announced the winners.
Besides Riggs’ two events, Margaret Donley, Sharon Fox and Pat Lambert won one event each.
Next week Sharon Fox serves as hostess. PLEASE NOTE: A special business meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. this Tuesday at the South Point Industrial Point. Golfing will follow back at the Ironton Country Club.
For further information, contact Joyce Lewis at (740) 532-1276.
Members are reminded that the Ringers’ Tournament has finaished but the Handicap Tournament competition remains underway.
New members are always welcomed and persons do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the Ladies Nine Hole League and play the nine-hole course in Pine Grove.
