Ironton issues boil water advisory
The City of Ironton has had a main water line break on Commerce Drive on Monday and has issued a boil water advisory from there to the south part of the city towards the city limit with Coal Grove.
Residents may experience low water pressure and crews are making repairs.
Residents in that area are encouraged to boil any water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth or making ice cubes for at least one minute.
The city Water Treatment Plant issued a statement that there is no evidence of contamination in the water system but issued the boil advisory as a precaution.
