More than 20 vendors set up at the Fifth and Center area next to Rotary Fountain on Saturday for the Market After Dark.

A jazz trio from the Huntington Symphony Orchestra played while a crowd browsed the offerings at various booths.

Vendors included local stores like Dick’s Music Shop and Granny’s, as well as standalone businesses like Kelli’s Sweet and Sassy Treats, who served cotton candy to attendees.

In addition, other shops in the area, such as Nancy’s Nook consignment shop were open late to accommodate the event, which began around 6 p.m. and lasted several hours.

The event was a partnership between the adjacent The Vault Market and the Ironton Elks, who served drinks.

“It’s so nice to see new life breathed into Ironton,” Amanda Cleary, co-owner of The Vault, said of the turnout. “The energy shows that Ironton can move forward into a bright new future.”
