Aug. 17 at Ironton
The Ohio Valley Conference football preview will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at Ironton High School.
Games begin at 5 p.m. and consist of two quarters. Here is the schedule: Fairland vs. Portsmouth; Chesapeake vs. South Point; Rock Hill vs. Gallipolis; Coal Grove vs. Ironton.
Admission is $5.

The Southern Ohio Conference volleyball preview will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at Portsmouth Clay High School.
Games begin at 10 a.m. Here is the schedule: Clay vs. Minford; Western vs. South Webster; New Boston vs. Lucasville Valley; Symmes Valley vs. Northwest; Green vs. Waverly, Sciotoville East vs. Portsmouth West; St. Joseph vs. Wheelersburg A-team; Oak Hill vs. Wheelersburg B-team; Portsmouth Notre Dame vs. Beaver Eastern.
Admission is $5.

ILL fall baseball/softball
instructional league set
The Ironton Little League fall baseball/softball league for ages 9-12 will be held from Aug. 25 to Sept. 29 at the complex.
The league will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sundays only. Fee is $20 per play and $10 for each additional sibling. T-shirts will be provided.
The league will provide instructional and competitive play.

Fairland starts signups for fall basketball league
Registration is underway for the Fairland girls Basketball Fall League.
The league is open to any girls i the Tri-State from grades 1-6 .
The league will run for six weeks beginning the week of Labor Day.
The focus of the league is on individual improvement, so players sign up as individuals, not teams.
