DeWine appoints Sanders to fill Lawrence probate-juvenile vacancy

COLUMBUS — Ohio Gov.  Mike DeWine announced on Tuesday the appointment of Patricia Sanders to serve as a judge on the Lawrence County Court of Common Pleas, Probate and Juvenile Division.

Sanders, of South Point, will assume office on Sept. 9 and serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Feb. 8, 2021. Sanders is replacing Judge David Payne, who retired.

Sanders received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and law degree from University of Dayton School of Law.  Sanders currently serves as magistrate for the Lawrence County Probate-Juvenile Court; a judge advocate, major in the United States Army Reserve; and an adjunct professor at West Virginia State University.
