SOUTH POINT — First Southern Baptist Church will be hosting a lunch and open house for first responders on Nov. 2.

Organizers say they would like to thank responders for their service to the community by inviting them, along with family members, to attend.

The lunch is scheduled from noon-4 p.m. at First Southern Baptist Church, located at 113 Collins Ave., next door to the post office.

Chili, soup, sandwiches, drinks and dessert will be served.

Those who are on duty and can not attend are asked to let the church know, and food can be delivered.
