CHILLICOTHE – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a rockfall maintenance project on State Route 7 in Lawrence County.

The project is to perform rock slope maintenance on State Route 7 by scaling and trim blasting at the 4.10-mile marker, between County Road 7 (Old State Route 7 Road) and State Route 243 in Union Township. Construction also includes minor pavement repair, barrier construction, and drainage repairs.

The project will require approximately 1.022 acres of permanent right of way; however, no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of construction. A contract is anticipated to be awarded in the summer of 2020.
