PINE GROVE — When the best player is that good, you’ve got to like your team chances.
Hanna Shrout shredded the Ironton Country Club course as she fired a 5-under par 65 to take medalist honors and lead the Fairland Lady Dragons to the Ohio Valley Conference golf title on Friday.
Led by Shrout, Fairland had a 364 score to edge the Gallipolis Blue Angels by one stroke to win the league title.
The South Point Lady Pointers had a 377 score to finish third, the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers had a 440 total and the Coal Grove Lady Hornets 442.
The All-OVC team was comprised of Shrout and teammate Addi Speed, Bailey Meadows and Lilly Rees of Gallipolis, and Emilee Carey and Abbi Zornes of South Point.
