Larry Shelton

May 12, 1943 – Sept. 25, 2019

Larry Shelton, 76, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019 at the Community Hospice House in Ashland, Kentucky.

Larry was born May 12, 1943, in Ironton, a son to the late Vernon and Fannie (Roberts) Shelton. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bobbi) Compliment Shelton, whom he married Dec. 14, 1963.

Larry was a 1961 graduate of Ironton High School. He was a retired bricklayer from AK Steel and was a U.S. Navy veteran, where he served as a Seabee. Larry was a member of Saint Joseph Church, where he loved being a member of the men’s choir for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Ray, John and Jim.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Dennis (Anne), Dan (Kara) and Steve (Charlie Gail); and nine grandchildren, William (Savannah), Johnathon, Andrew, Jacob, Eli, Isaiah, Madaline, Tyler Lynn and Tessa.

Visitation will be 5-6 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 905 S. Fifth St, Ironton, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made in Larry’s name to Community Hospice of Ashland, 2330 Pollard Rd. Ashland, KY. 41101 and/or St. Joseph Catholic Schools, 912 S. Sixth St., Ironton, OH 45638.

Donald Crowe

June 15, 1947-Sept. 25, 2019

Donald Russell Crowe, 72, of South Point, passed away Wednesday, Sept., 25, 2019, in Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Mr. Crowe was born June 15, 1947 in Ashland, a son to the late Russell and Dorothy (Evans) Crowe. He is survived by his wife, Joy (Baker-Carrico) Crowe, whom he married June 23, 1992.

Mr. Crowe was a graduate of Fairview High School and was a retired postal worker for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Postal Worker Union and Life Fellowship Church in Russell, Kentucky.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Brett) Gillum, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Teresa Gancie, of Chantilly, Virginia, and Telisa (Allen) Perkins, of Ashland; two sons, Jamie (Donna) Reynolds and Roger D. (Kathy) Reynolds, II of South Point; two sisters, Diana (Gary) Ruley, of Ashland, and Melinda (Randy Boggs), of South Point; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh Street, Ironton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
