Wanetta Marcum

Feb. 1, 1940 – Oct. 8, 2019

Wanetta Marcum, 79, of Pedro, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, at her residence. Mrs. Marcum was born Feb. 1, 1940, in Kirk (Mingo County), West Virginia, a daughter to the late Hayden and Alberta (Meade) Hannah. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rether Marcum, who passed away Feb. 3, 2018.

Mrs. Marcum attended Kermit Local Schools in West Virginia and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved cooking. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Ermal Marcum and Mike Willis; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Marcum and Delores Mullins; niece, Rita Marcum and nephew, Scott Marcum

She is survived by two sons, Brady Marcum and Kyle Marcum both of Pedro; daughter, Kathy Marcum of Ashland, Kentucky; seven brothers, Dana (Tennessee) Hannah of Ft. Gay, West Virginia, Alton (Linda) Hannah of Raglan, West Virginia, June (Linda) Hannah, Larry Hannah of Raglan, West Virginia, Dallas (Kay) Hannah of South Shore, Kentucky, Everrett (Diane) Hannah of Regan, West Virginia, and Lonnie (Darlene) Hannah of Raglan, West Virginia; brother-in-law, Paul (Nancy) Marcum of South Point; three sisters-in-law, Ines Marcum of Huntsville, Texas, Dora Willis of Coal Grove, and Ruth (John) Dennis of North Carolina; four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Pastor Delbert Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Garden and visitation will be Saturday noon until time of the service at the funeral home.

Juanita Edmunds

Juanita B. Edmunds, 91 of Chesapeake, died Wednesday Oct. 9, 2019.

Funeral services will be conducted by 11 a.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by Pastor Brady Lipscomb. Burial will follow at Barker Ridge Cemetery, Milton, West Virginia. Jimmy McCallister II

Jimmy McCallister II, 48, of Ironton, died on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019 at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Care Center in Portsmouth.

He is survived by his fiancé, Mary Ackison Rowe.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrence Furnace Cemetery. Friends may call from 6–9 p.m. on Friday at the church.

His family has entrusted his care to the Taylor-Brown family of the Brown Funeral Chapel.

Robin Alt

Robin R. Alt, 50, of Proctorville, passed Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Visitation will be noon–1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
