Carolyn Waggoner
Carolyn “Judy” Waggoner, 79, of Coal Grove, passed peacefully on Oct. 9, 2019 following a struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert “Bob” Waggoner; and daughter, Mary Jo McClellan. She is survived by her son, Brian McClellan; stepdaughter, Debbie Burnside (Tom); nieces, Glenda Thompson (Steve) and Gina Roinson; nephews, Eric Thompson and Brent Thompson; granddaughters, Tomi Lynn McMillian (Toby) and Nichole Feldhaus (Scotty); and her adopted daughter and caregiver of 20 years, Jennifer Wright (Wayne); and grandson, Bradley.
Judy was a devout Christian and a member of Leatherwood Missionary Baptist Church. She dedicated her life to caring for her disabled children and other family members. She was known for her famous baking of candy and pies and her beautiful quilts. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to join us to celebrate her life of love and giving at O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home on 1108 S. Sixth St., Ironton. Visitation will be Saturday 6–8 p.m. and funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with Mike Huff officiating. Burial will be in Leatherwood Cemetery.
