Operation GRACE recently received a generous donation of bedding from Regina Chaffin, the general manager of the Ironton Holiday Inn.  Chaffin donated nine sets of queen size mattresses and box springs and two sets of king size mattresses and box springs to group. Employees of Judge Alan Lemons, Scioto County Juvenile Court, assisted with the loading and transporting the mattresses and box springs to the needy kids of Scioto County.

“We have many children in Scioto County that have no bedding, thus, they are sleeping on the floor,” said Lawrence-Scioto Solid Waste Management District Director Dan Palmer. “Because of their addiction to heroin and other drugs, the parents are neglectful of their children’s’ needs. I am very appreciative of this contribution the Ironton Holiday Inn made to Operation GRACE.”

Operation GRACE provides necessary items, such as clothing and hygiene products, for children in Scioto County who are affected by drugs in their families, and may not otherwise have access to these items. It stands for Giving Relief to Area Children for Enrichment.
