Domestic violence program set: 11th annual event will be held at OUS on Tuesday

The Lawrence County Domestic Violence Task Force, in collaboration with Ohio University, Southern Campus will host their 11th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Program to commemorate the month of October as “Domestic Violence Awareness Month.”

The event is aimed to remember those who have suffered from domestic abuse and help celebrate those who have survived and made new lives for themselves.

The guest speaker will be Tesla Blackburn and panel discussion participants will include Lawrence County Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson, Ironton Municipal Judge Kevin Waldo, Ironton Police Chief Pam Wagner and Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless.

The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Bowman Auditorium at Ohio University Southern and is open to the public.
