Rickey Bare

Nov. 8, 1957– Oct. 12, 2019

Rickey Lee Bare, 61, of Kitts Hill, passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at his residence.

Rickey was born Nov. 8, 1957, a son to the late Betty Lou Bare Cooper. He is also survived by his wife Kim (Reed) Bare, whom he married Feb. 14, 1998.

Rickey was a graduate of Rock Hill and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired manager for Leo’s Carry Out. Rickey loved to watch his grandson, Justin, play football.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Justine Bare.

He is survived by sister, Lana Freeman, of Ironton; brother, Eddie Cooper, of Gaffney, South Carolina; father-in-law, Lee Reed, of Kitts Hill; mother-in-law, Elaine Reed, of Kitts Hill; stepson, David McKee, of Kitts Hill; grandson, Justin McKee, of Kitts Hill; granddaughter, Amelia McKee, of Proctorville; good friend, Valerie Crank, of Proctorville; two uncles, Paul and Larry Bare; aunt, Georgeanne Rockwell; and several nieces and nephews

Visitation for family and friends will be 6–8 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton.

Donald Voiers

Dec. 5, 1943– Oct. 14, 2019

Donald Ray Voiers, 75, of Ohio Furnace, passed away at King’s Daughters Medical Center on Oct. 14, 2019, after a brief illness. Donald was born to Raymond and Edna Faye (Ison) Voiers, on Dec. 5, 1943 at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patty Jo (Daniel) Voiers; three children, Donald Alan (Tirza) Voiers, Lisa Jo (Steve) Hensley and Daniel William (Sharon) Voiers; two brothers, Orville (Rose) Voiers and Larry Voiers; two sisters, Sandy (John) Jones and Theresa (John) Adams; six grandchildren, Blaine (Amanda) Voiers, Matthew Voiers, Juliana Voiers and Anthony Voiers; Kali Davis, Britney Hensley; and a special granddaughter, Alisha Pierce; and six great-children, Lake, Oaklan, and Ridge Voiers, Brooklyn Hensley, Sophia Bellew and Karson Davis.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and a brother, Charles Richard Voiers.

He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1968 and retired from Rich Oil and Ashland Oil. He was an active member in the Disabled American Veterans Victory Chapter 134, American Legion Post 471 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3638. He was a Past Master of Western Sun Lodge Number 91 and past Patron of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 516, both of Wheelersburg, Scottish Rite of Valley of Cincinnati and was of the Baptist faith.

Don never knew a stranger and will be missed by many.

Funeral service will be noon Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton with Pastor Gary Arthurs officiating. Burial will follow in Buckeye Cemetery and visitation will be 6 p.m.– 8 p.m. Wednesday and also 11 a.m. until time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.

David Eagle

David Lee Eagle, 66, of South Point, died in his home Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Eagle.

Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Liltina Salyers

Liltina (Tina) Mae Salyers, 87, of South Point, died on Oct. 12, 2019.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point.  Friends and Family may visit 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
