— Feed the Fire raffle is being held for a new Henry 45/70 lever action rifle. All proceeds go to the JD Coffman Memorial Scholarship Fund. Chances are $1 and the winner will be drawn Dec. 21. — The Lawrence County Agricultural Society will have its annual election of the board of directors from 8 a.m.–noon on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Lawrence County Courthouse in the extension office. Candidate can declare their candidacy by filing a petition, signed by ten or more members of the agricultural society, with the secretary of society, at least seven days before the election. The petition must state the specific board position the candidate is seeking.

— The Ladies 9-Hole Golf Association meets at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Ironton Country Club, with play at 10 a.m.

— Ironton First Church of the Nazarene has an open 12-step meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. Please enter via the Pleasant Street entrance or the through the back door.

— Lawrence County Developmental Disabilities has its monthly meetings at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the board office, 606 Carlton Davidson Lane, Coal Grove.

— The WIC Office, located 203 Center St. in Ironton, will have a walk-in clinic on the last Friday the month. The is on Dec. 27 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

— The compilation report and the basic financial statements for the Lawrence County Educational Service Center for year ended June 30, 2019 is available to the public for review upon request by notifying the Lawrence County Educational Service Center.

— The Lawrence County Health Department offers a free car seat program for those who qualify. If you are in need, please call 740-532-3962 to be placed on a first-come, first-served waiting list.

— Nancy’s Nook, 106 N. Third St., Ironton, is open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Items for sale include glassware, pictures, angels, greeting cards, kitchen and workshop items, furniture, sports cards, candles, purses and more. Proceeds benefit Harvest for the Hungry food pantry, which serves all of Lawrence County. For more information, call 740-646-4188.

— The Ironton American Legion Post 433 hosts a pool tournament at 7 p.m. every Tuesday, a card night at 7 p.m. every Thursday and karaoke from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. every Friday. The post’s hours are 2 p.m.-1 a.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon-1 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. It is located at 310 S. Third St., Ironton.
