OUS Veterans Tribute

An event will take place from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. to celebrate and honor Ohio University Southern veterans, active military, National Guard, and Reserve members. There will be a presentation of the colors by Ashland’s Paul G. Blazer High School JROTC and guest speaker U.S. Air Force SMSgt. Stanley McDonald, USAF, retired. The event is open to the public.

Hamilton Township Trustees Meeting

The Hamilton Township Trustees meetings will meet at 6 p.m. at the fire station, 1671 County Road 1A (old 52).

Lawrence Township Trustees Meeting

The Lawrence Township Trustees will hold their November meeting at 4:15 p.m. at the Kitts Hill Volunteer Fire Department building.

IHS Class of 1948 Lunch

Ironton High School Class of 1948 will meet at Casa Grande in South Point at noon. All classmates and guests are invited.

Procurement Workshop

The Southern Ohio Procurement Technical Assistance Center will have a workshop on how small businesses can get into the local, state and federal government markets. It will be from 1–4 p.m. at 216 Collins Ave., South Point. To sign up, go to www.soptac.com.

Lawrence County Developmental Disabilities board will hold a finance committee meeting at 3:30 pm at the board office.

Lawrence County DD Special Meeting

The Lawrence County Developmental Disabilities board will have a special meeting at 8 a.m. at the board office to discuss a contingency budget due to levy failure. The office is located at 604 Carlton Davidson Lane in Coal Grove.

Windsor Township Trustees Meeting

The Windsor Township Trustees will meet at the town hall at 7 a.m.

Veterans Day Ceremony

VFW Post 8850 will have a Veterans Day ceremony at the Soldiers Plot in Woodland Cemetery at 11 a.m.

IHS Class of ’57 Lunch

Ironton High School class of 1957 will meet at the Ironton Giovanni’s at noon for lunch. All classmates and guest are invited.

Housing Seminars

Seminars on Ohio landlord-tenant laws and federal Fair Housing Act protections for renters and buyers will take place at the Briggs Lawrence Library Chesapeake branch at 1 p.m. and the Proctorville branch at 3 p.m.

Fairland BOE Meeting

The Fairland Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. at the high school, located at 812 County Road 411, Proctorville.

South Point BOE Meeting

The South Point Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. in the South Point BOE office.

Nov. 16

Cancer benefit

A bean dinner is set for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. to raise funds for Nancy Clark, who has been diagnosed with cancer and is traveling five days a week to undergo medical treatments. The event is planned to help with her travel and medical expenses, and food will be donated and served at Clarks Fastlane in Arabia, followed by an auction.

Museum Tea

The annual Lawrence County Museum Christmas Tea will be at 2 p.m. Call Kay Rader at 740-534-9477 for tickets.

Dawson-Bryant BOE Meeting

The Dawson-Bryant Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. at the Dawson-Bryant Board of Education offices in Coal Grove.
