The Lawrence County Developmental Disabilities board will have a special meeting at 8 a.m. at the board office 604 Carlton Davidson Lane to discuss a contingency budget due to levy failure.

Housing Seminars

Seminars on Ohio landlord-tenant laws and federal Fair Housing Act protections for renters and buyers will take place at the Briggs Lawrence Library Chesapeake branch at 1 p.m. and the Proctorville branch at 3 p.m.

The Fairland Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. at the high school, located at 812 County Road 411, Proctorville.

South Point BOE Meeting

The South Point Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. in the South Point BOE office.

Cancer benefit

A bean dinner is set for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. to raise funds for Nancy Clark, who has been diagnosed with cancer and is traveling five days a week to undergo treatments. The event is planned to help with her travel and medical expenses, and food will be donated and served at Clarks Fastlane in Arabia, followed by an auction.

Museum Tea

The annual Lawrence County Museum Christmas Tea will take place at 2 p.m. Call Kay Rader at 740-534-9477 for tickets.

Dawson-Bryant BOE Meeting

The Dawson-Bryant Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. at the Dawson-Bryant Board of Education offices in Coal Grove.

Land Bank Meeting

The Lawrence County Land Bank will meet at noon at its office located 327 Vernon St., Ironton.

Breast Cancer Support Group

The Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Breast Cancer Support Group will meet at noon on the hospital campus at Bellefonte Pavilion, 2000 Ashland Drive, in the large conference room on the building’s first floor. Luminary 5K Run

The Chamber of Commerce’s annual Luminary 5K Run presented by Armstrong will be at 6:30 p.m. It starts at the Chamber of Commerce office and goes through The Point Industrial Park. Registration is $20 before Nov. 21 and $25 on race day, and can be completed online at tristateracer.com. Trophies will be awarded to the top finishers.

The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce’s Festival of Trees and Christmas Market will be at 216 Collins Ave., South Point, from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. It includes a live, drive-thru nativity, Christmas trees, local vendors selling gift items, live reindeer, visits with Santa Claus, Kids Day and trees designed by local schools and businesses. Follow traffic signs to enter the nativity.
