Janice Turvey

Janice Pauline Turvey, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019.

She was the daughter of the late Clyde W. and Bertha Eaches Matthews.

She was also preceded in death her husband, Alfred E. Turvey; long-time boyfriend, Fred Appleman; two brothers, Clyde W. “Sonny” Matthews and Danny Ray Matthews; a sister, Nola Manley; and a stepdaughter, Twyla Bruce.

She is survived by one son, Clyde “Bill” (Linda) Turvey, of Oak Hill; three stepsons, Alfred “Bub” (Tammy) Turvey, of Marysville, Lee Turvey, of Ironton and Eph Turvey, of Ironton; three stepdaughters, Irma (Dale) Willis, of Ironton, Lavena (Bobby) Barrett, of Marysville and Bertha Keaton, of Ironton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

According to her wishes, there will be a private service at the convenience of the family.

Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, is assisting the family with arrangements.
