PEDRO — Look who’s back.
After missing last season with an injury and making a cameo in the second game of the season, Lexie Arden was in the lineup on Thursday and the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers were glad she is back.
The two-time All-Ohio player hit five 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead a 59-34 win over the Rock Hill Redwomen in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Samantha LaFon added 12 points as nine of the 13 players who saw action scored for Ironton (3-0, 2-0).
Rileigh Morris had 13 points to lead Rock Hill (1-2, 0-2).
Ironton got 4 points from Kirsten Williams to lead 12-5 after the first quarter.
Arden — who didn’t score in the first quarter — hit a pair of trifectas and scored 8 points in the second quarter while sister Kameren Arden and Williams each hit a triple to extend Ironton’s lead to 32-17 at the break.
Savannah McGraw scored 6 points and Savannah Cade 4 for the Redwomen in the quarter who cut the lead to 9 points at one time.
Lexie Arden came out hot in the third quarter with three more bombs as she scored 11 points and Elli Williams also hit a 3-pointer as the lead grew to 47-24.
Morris had 5 of Rock Hill’s 7 points.
LaFon was 4-of-4 at the line in the fourth quarter while Evan Williams, Abbie Patterson and Sara Bowen all hit a basket off the bench for Ironton.
Morris scored 4 points and Lucy Simpson added 3 as Rock Hill got 10 points.
On Monday, Ironton visits Chesapeake and Rock Hill hosts Coal Grove.
