ACTC to offer 3D printing workshop Dec. 13, 14

ASHLAND, Ky. — Ashland Community and Technical College’s Workforce Solutions team is hosting a two-day “Nuts and Bolts of 3D Printing” workshop on Dec. 13 and 14.

In this immersive build-your-own 3D printer class, participants will actually build their own 3D printer, learn how to utilize the software tools and maintain the printer and then take their printer home. The two-day workshop also includes downloading and printing 3D models, 3D software usage and 3D model creation and manipulation.

The two-day class will be taught by ACTC’s Computer Aided Drafting and Design Program Coordinator Tyler Stevens at the Technology Drive Campus in room 210 from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, and from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Dec. 14. Registration is $399 and includes one printer and two seats in the class for you and a guest.
