Redsfest announces annual awards before record numbers

CINCINNATI — Attendance at FOX Sports Ohio Redsfest presented by PNC Bank totaled 17,278 fans on December 6-7 at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
2019 Redsfest – “By the Numbers”:
46,000: Approximate number of autographs signed by over 80 current and former players, coaches, minor leaguers and broadcasters;
17,278: Total two-day attendance of 2019 Redsfest;
11,000: First place $11,000 prize split by David Wise, Nick Shukas, Brad Galyon and Tyler Stidham, who outlasted over 600 participants in the 14th annual Prestige Audio Visual & Creative Services Rick Steiner Celebrity Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament presented by Ashlee Fence;
400: Volunteers each day at Redsfest;
375: Participants in the fourth annual Redsfest Bingo Tournament;
266: Total home runs hit in the Redsfest Wiffleball Home Run Derby. Minor league prospect Stuart Fairchild teamed up with Reds RBI 12U player Collin Schulte to win the Friday evening event;
14: Minor league players attending community outreach events at the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Crayons 2 Computers.

Johnny Vander Meer Outstanding Pitcher Award: Sonny Gray;
Joe Nuxhall Good Guy Award by Dunkin’ Donuts: Tucker Barnhart;
Sheldon “Chief” Bender Minor League Player of the Year: Aristides Aquino;
Minor League Hitter of the Year: Jose Garcia;
Minor League Pitcher of the Year: Packy Naughton;
Minor League Affiliate Outreach Award: Michael Siani.
Highlights of “What’s New in 2020” Introduced at Redsfest:
TriHealth Family Zone: A new family-friendly, interactive destination located on the View Level.
In addition to featuring appearances by Reds mascots, fun activities and special family-focused concessions, the Family Zone will include a second Pampers Nursing Suite and a new TriHealth Sensory Room. A special ticket offer will be available to fans purchasing seats in nearby sections.
Boone County Bourbon Press Club: Great American Ball Park’s newest premium seating area in 2020.
Featuring a premier view from an area previously reserved for media, this exclusive club will allow guests to enjoy first-class dining and amenities in a climate-controlled environment.
As part of this development, the media will be relocated on the Suite Level down the third base line.
Executive Super Suite: This new space on the Suite Level will allow groups to conduct meetings during the day in a board room like setting and then convert the space to entertain clients or coworkers to watch the game. The Executive Super Suite is also available on non-gamedays for meetings.

All proceeds from Redsfest benefit the youth baseball and softball outreach programs of the Reds Community Fund, which impacts more than 45,000 kids and coaches each year.
Redsfest 2020 is scheduled for Dec. 4 & 5 at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
