Rosa Willis

Rosa (Rose) Large Willis, 88, of Coal Grove, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, at the Harbor Healthcare, Ironton.

She was born in Lawrence County on Aug. 6, 1931, to the late Edward and Bessie (Harmon) Large. She was the wife of the late Jack E. Willis, who passed away Oct. 14, 2007.

Rose attended Coal Grove schools and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and listening to country music and she also attended Zoar Missionary Baptist Church of Coal Grove.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Jack Willis Jr.; two brothers, Ralph Large and Harold Large; and three sisters, Isabelle King, Fern Martin and Anna Steed.

She is survived by a brother, Donald Large, of Ironton; and a sister, Mary (George) May, of Ironton.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Woodland Cemetery, 824 Lorain St., Ironton, with Bro. Chad Pemberton officiating.

Jack Ransbottom

Jack Ransbottom, 75, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. The family will receive friends from 1–2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Briana Dickess

Briana Sue Dickess, 24 of Willow Wood, died on Monday, Dec. 16, 2019 at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

Services will be 6 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. The visitation will be 5–6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
