Dodgion 6-for-6 to the podium at swim meets

CHILLICOTHE — Kendall Dodgion is back in the water and back on the podium.
In three swim meets and six events to start the season, the Ironton Fighting Tigers sophomore swimmer has six more top three finishes including a first place.
Dodgion opened the season Dec. 9 in a meet at Grandview Heights against Northridge and Teays Valley as well as the host team.
Dodgion was second in the 100-yard freestyle and third place in the 50-yard freestyle.
The next meet was Dec. 16 back at Grandview Heights with a field that included Columbus Centennial, Liberty Union, Oakstone Academy, Wellington, Columbus Beechcroft, Eastmoor Academy, Tree of Life and Portsmouth.
Dodgion picked up a pair of second place finishes, one in the 200-yard individual medley and in the 100-yard freestyle.
The third meet was on Friday, Dec. 27, at Chillicothe against Lakewood, Adena and Chillicothe.
Dodgion was second in the 50-yard freestyle but captured first place in the 100-yard freestyle.
Next up for Dodgion will be a meet at Shawnee State on Wednesday.
