— 2020 Lawrence County dog tag renewals are due by Jan. 31, after that the price for the tag doubles. The price is currently $16 for one dog. It is $12 for a dog that has been spayed or neutered. Tags can be purchased at the Lawrence County Auditor’s Office, the Lawrence County Animal Shelter, South Point Storage, Pine Tree Carry Out, Dickess Market and Jim’s Gun Shop.
— The Lawrence Township Trustees’ 2019 annual financial report is complete and available for review at the office of the fiscal officer.
– Lawrence Township Trustees will meet on the second Monday of the month at 4:15 p.m. at the Kitts Hill Fire Department.
— The Village of South Point’s 2019 annual financial report is complete and available at the office of the fiscal officer, located at 415 Solida Rd, South Point.
— Mason Township Trustees will meet on the second Saturday at 7 a.m. at the Wilgus Grange Hall.
— Mason Township Trustees’ 2019 annual financial report is complete and available for viewing at the home of the fiscal officer.
— The Village of Hanging Rock’s 2019 annual financial report is complete and available for viewing during at the clerk’s office, 400 Main St., Hanging Rock, during regular business hours.
— The financial statements of the Chesapeake Union Exempted Village School District for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019 are now available for review.
— Coal Grove Village Council meetings will be at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday at the town hall.
— The Windsor Township Trustees will meet at 7 a.m. on the second Saturday of the month at the Windsor Township Hall.
— Ironton First Church of the Nazarene has an open 12-step meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. Please enter via the Pleasant Street entrance or the back door.
— Lawrence County Developmental Disabilities has its monthly meetings at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the board office, 606 Carlton Davidson Lane, Coal Grove.

— The Lawrence County Health Department offers a free car seat program for those who qualify. If you are in need, please call 740-532-3962 to be placed on a first-come, first-served waiting list.
— Nancy’s Nook, 106 N. Third St., Ironton, is open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Items for sale include glassware, pictures, angels, greeting cards, kitchen and workshop items, furniture, sports cards, candles, purses and more. Proceeds benefit Harvest for the Hungry food pantry, which serves all of Lawrence County. For more information, call 740-646-4188.

— Those who want to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office can call 740-532-3525 to schedule an appointment. This is essential since staff is not always available to process permits.
