WILLOW WOOD — The Symmes Valley Vikings didn’t show up the first half, but they made their presence felt in the second half.
Trailing by 6 points at halftime, the Vikings outscored the Portsmouth Notre Dame Titans by 33 points in the second half and rolled to a 63-34 Southern Ohio Conference win on Tuesday.
Jack Leith scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half to spark the comeback. He also had 14 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocked shots.
Logan Walsh had 13 points and 2 steals for the Vikings (11-5, 8-3) while Drew Scherer added 9 points and Luke Leith had 12 rebounds.
Notre Dame (5-11, 2-9) was led by Jarren Edgington with 10 points.
Dylan Seison hit two 3-pointers and scored all 8 of his points in the first quarter as Notre Dame took a 15-14 lead.
Luke Leith had 5 points and Scherer 4 for the Vikings.
Edgington scored 6 points in the second quarter and the Titans held the Vikings to 4 points and it was 24-18 at the half.
Jack Leith ignited the offense in the second half as he scored 12 points and the Vikings rallied to take a 38-30 lead.
Walsh had a 3-pointer and went 2-for-2 at the foul line and Jack Leith got 6 points as the Vikings outscored the Titans 23-4 in the fourth quarter to win going away.
The Vikings host Portsmouth Clay on Friday.
