Patricia Parker

Sept. 16, 1940– Feb. 17, 2020

Patricia Ann (Fundersol) Parker, 79, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, at Hospice Community Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born Sept. 16, 1940, and was raised by her grandmother, Selma Lyons. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Parker, whom she married Jan. 3, 1959.

Patricia attended Rock Hill Schools and formerly attended the Hanging Rock Nazarene Church. She was an avid reader, who loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dog, Bella.

In addition to her husband and grandmother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Parker; and a son-in-law, Doug Harper.

She is survived by four daughters, Sheilah Harper, of Kitts Hill, Pamela (Bobby) Rowe, Deborah Parker, and Linda Parker, all of Ironton; a son, Dennis (Sarabeth) Parker, of Ironton; four grandkids, Dustin (Kelsey) Harper, of Pedro, Shane (Heather) Harper, of Mount Orab, Kayla (Brice) Roach and Parker Rowe, of Ironton; and four great-grandchildren, Laramie Harper, Easton Roach, Cyrus Harper, and Tommy Middendorf.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Woodland Cemetery with Pastor John Paul Patterson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations to be made to Community Hospice Care Center, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, Ky. 41101.

Franklin Carmon

Franklin Scott Carmon, 38, of Pedro, died on Feb. 14, 2020, at his home in Portsmouth, at County Living.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton.
