Sugar Creek Lady Eagles roll by Covenant, 48-27

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. — Our Eagles soared higher than your Eagles.
The Sugar Creek Christian Academy Lady Eagles beat the Covenant Christian Lady Eagles 48-27 on Monday.
Flying high for Sugarcreek was Aliah Dorofeev who had 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Rachel Gillespie had 8 points and 4 rebounds while Emma Harper had 2 assists and 4 steals.
Sugar Creek took a 9-8 lead in the first quarter as Dorofeev scored 6 points.
The SCCA Lady Eagles opened up a 23-10 halftime lead by outscoring Covenant 14-2 in the second quarter. Gillespie hit a 3-pointer and scored 5 points and Chloe Long added a 3-pointer.
Sugar Creek opened up a 38-18 cushion in the third quarter with Dorofeev scoring 6 more points and Long hitting a 3-pointer and scoring 5 points.
Dorofeev had her on triple in the fourth quarter as she scored 5 points to capped off the winning effort.
