DALLAS, Tx. – Marshall Thundering Herd’s Andrew Taylor has earned his third Conference USA Freshman of the Week honor, the league office announced on Sunday.
Taylor averaged 14 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in a pair of wins as the Herd closed out the regular season.
Taylor recorded the first double-double of his career against FAU with 16 points and a career-high 10 rebounds as he also dished out four assists.
Taylor’s 16 points contributed to a season-high 94 for the Thundering Herd.
He then posted a 12-point, five-assist performance at UTSA. He made 11-of-18 from the field this week and has scored 10 or more points in four straight games.
The sixth-seeded Thundering Herd (16-15) will face 11th-seeded UTEP (17-14) Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/9 a.m. CT in first-round action at the 2020 Conference USA Tournament in Frisco, Texas.
