Paramount cancels, postpones shows for next 30 days

UPDATE:

ASHLAND — The Paramount Arts Center announced on Friday that it has canceled or postponed shows at the theater for the next 30 days due to concerns regarding the coronavirus.

The Paramount had originally announced on Thursday that they would keep their shows scheduled, but said, after further consideration, they made the move to call off five events in March.

“The Paramount Arts Center is committed to the health of our customers, performers, and employees,” PAC said in a news release. “Their safety is our highest priority. We are closely monitoring the local, state and national situations regarding COVID-19 (known as the coronavirus) and following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) best practices at all our performances. At this time, we have made the difficult decision to cancel or reschedule all of the upcoming performances at the Paramount Arts Center for the next 30 days.”

PAC asked people for patience as they plans regarding rescheduled performance dates, cancellations or refunds.

The following changes have been made regarding upcoming performances:

  • CANCELLED- Mamma Mia: Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14
  • CANCELLED- Llama, Llama Live!: Tuesday, March 24th
  • RESCHEDULED- Menopause- The Musical!: Wednesday, March 25th
  • RESCHEDULED- That Golden Girls Show, A Puppet Parody: Thursday, March 26th
  • RESCHEDULED- Buddy Guy: Tuesday, March 31st

Rescheduled dates will be announced as more details become available.

ASHLAND — The Paramount Arts Center said on Thursday that all productions at the theater are still on schedule.

“The Paramount Arts Center is committed to the health of our customers, performers and employees,” a press release from the Paramount read. “Their safety is our highest priority. We are closely monitoring the local, state and national situations regarding COVID-19 (known as the coronavirus) and following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) best practices at all of our performances. At this time, all productions will continue as scheduled.”

Theater staff said, of an abundance of precaution, extra hand sanitizing stations will be present at all performances as well as face masks for patron use.

Upcoming shows at the theater are as follows:

• Mamma Mia: 7:30 p.m. tonight and 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday

• Llama, Llama Live!: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24

• That Golden Girls Show, A Puppet Parody: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26

• Buddy Guy: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31
