CINCINNATI — First the Cincinnati Bengals added some unknown comodities. Next, they kept one player whose talents were well-known.
The Bengals officially announced the signings of eight free agents from other teams on Wednesday and announced they had retained guard Alex Redmond who was a restricted free agent earlier this year.
Redmond signs a deal worth $2.133 million.
After signing as an undrafted free agent in 2016, he started 15 games at right guard during the 2018 season.
Redmond missed the first four games last season due to testing positive against the NFL’s performance-enhancing sustance policy.
He returned to make two starts in three games in played only to hurt his elbow and be placed on the injured reserve.
