Sally Gonzalez

March 17, 1939–June 10, 2020

 

Sally Ann Fox Gonzalez, 81, of Coal Grove, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at Harbor Health Care, Ironton.

 

Mrs. Gonzalez was born March 17, 1939 in Meadowbridge, West Virginia, a daughter to the late Percy Fox and Cora (Adkins) and Hayden Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Michael Gonzalez, who passed away Sept. 30, 2013.

 

Mrs. Gonzalez was a graduate of Meadowbridge High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ashland First Church of the Nazarene.

n addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Harlice “Pete” Fox.

he is survived by two daughters, Robyn (Steve) McIntosh, of Nelsonville, and Rhonda Bryant, of Ironton; two brothers, Johnny (Sharon) Fox, of Iowa, James (Kathy) Lewis, of Michigan; four grandchildren, Ryan (Shanyl) Kittle and Jami Kittle, both of Nelsonville, Scott (Julieta) Kittle, of Cumming, Georgia, and Emileigh Bryant, of Ironton; four great-grandchildren, Keegen Kittle, Grace Kittle, Liam Kittle and Faith Kittle; stepmother, Vivian Gonzalez; and special brother and sister-in-law, Andy (Janie) Gonzalez, of Virginia.

 

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Pastor Dave Schug officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be noon at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Steve McIntosh, Ryan Kittle, Scott Kittle, Nathan Dever, John Blankenship and Jeff Pinkerton.

Betty Butler

Feb. 1, 1953–June 9, 2020

 

Betty (Burg) Butler, 67, of Ironton, passed June 9, 2020, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

 

She was born Feb. 1, 1953, the daughter of the late John and Anna Wiley Butler.

 

Ms. Butler was a 1971 graduate of Green High School and received her nursing license from the King’s Daughters Hospital School of Nursing. She later received her Bachelors of Nursing as well. She worked as an RN for various different hospitals in the Lawrence and Scioto County area during her 44-year nursing career. She was a member of West Ironton Church of the Nazarene.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Butler; and one brother, Larry Butler.

 

Betty is survived by one daughter, Bethany (Ricky) Young, of Ironton; three sons, Chad Goodrich, Kyle Goodrich and Casey Goodrich, all of Ironton; three grandchildren, Ethan Goodrich, Michael Goodrich and Kingston Young, all of Ironton; six brothers and sisters, Johnny (Vicky) Butler, of Ohio Furnace, Mike (Cathy) Butler, of Ironton, Hilda (Matt) Wilson, of Pedro, Jack (Joyce) Butler, of Ironton, Tammy (Larry) Bedelll, of Zephyrhills, Florida and Faith (Dan) Clune, of South Webster.

 

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton, with Pastor Lawrence W. Harris officiating. There will be a service at 12:45 p.m. by the Nurse Honor Guard of the River Cities to honor Ms. Butler’s career as a nurse. Burial will follow in Haverhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Carolyn Primm

Aug. 14, 1948–June 9, 2020

 

Carolyn Sue Primm, 71, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Miss Primm was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Ironton; a daughter to the late Edgar and Lesta (Ackerson) Primm.

 

Miss Primm was a 1966 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a former ward clerk for Ironton General Hospital.

 

She was a life member of Royersville Missionary Baptist Church, where she played the piano for over 50 years.

 

She loved her family and friends and was a past member of Rock Hill Athletic Boosters.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Primm; and a sister, Marilyn Kay Primm.

 

She is survived by two brothers, Eddie (Ronda) Primm and Jimmy Primm, all of Ironton; a sister, Patty Primm, of Ironton; nephew, Sean (Amanda) Primm; and a niece, Crissy (Jeff) Stephens, of Batavia.

 

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hecla Cemetery with Pastor Billy Markin officiating. There will be no public visitation and Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donald Brammer

 

Donald Lee Brammer, 64, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold C. Brammer; and nephew, Dean Brammer.

 

Donald leaves behind his mother, Barbara (Mark), Liwonchuk of Orlando, Florida; son, Jonathan (Eary) Brammer, of West Virginia; daughter, Kailia (Roy) Peachy, of Indiana; brother, Harold (Shirley) Brammer Jr., of Orlando, Florida; sister, Theresa Bright, of Orlando, Florida; and five grandchildren.

 

Donald loved the Lord, his family, his dog, Charlie, and his many church friends.

 

He enjoyed the hobbies of hunting and fishing.

 

Donald was very outgoing, loved people, and loved doing things for the Samaritan’s Purse Ministries.

 

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with a funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bill Pate officiating. Burial will follow services in the Fellowship Bible Church Cemetery in Elizabethtown.

 

 

 

Floyd Howard

Floyd Banks Howard, 92, of Columbus, died Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

 

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Gay Howard.

 

Visitation will be held 1–2 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Proctorville.

Judge Tommy Thompson, 85, of Proctorville, formerly of Columbus, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at home.

 

He is survived by his wife, Erma Thompson.
